How to Hi5 on Desktop

Every week (at midnight on Sunday, to be exact!), you get a fresh batch of 5 x Hi5's to give to your co-workers. You will see all the Hi5's in your company on the Hi5 Wall of Fame.

Here's how to give Hi5's on Desktop:

Step 1

Click on the Give a Hi5 icon on your Hi5 menu, or on the pink hand icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Step 2

To find the co-worker you'd like to give a Hi5 to, scroll through the list of names on the right, or type their name into the Search for co-workers field. Click on their name to get started with your Hi5.

You can also give a Hi5 to someone outside of your organisation, by clicking on the Hi5 Someone Else button. See how this works.

Note: You can only Hi5 co-workers who have activated their accounts. If a user is inactive, you'll be able to send them a reminder to activate their account:

The Notice Board is an excellent tool for quick and effective workplace communication. Never miss a company announcement or event again! Anyone in the company can create and send a Notice to specific Departments, Roles, Offices or Permissions within the company.

||| Important: If you're an Admin, you can go to My Company > Settings to toggle whether to allow Employees & Line Managers to create Notices.

To start a new notice, click on the Add Notice button on the right.

A new notice will pop up. You will then be able to edit the subject and content of the notice:

Creating your own Role with 5 Goals

On Hi5, you can be assigned a Role (eg. Social Media Marketer). Each Role on Hi5 has 5 Goals attached to it - these need to be set up either by your Admin or yourself.

When your Admin has not assigned a Role to you yet, you are able to create your own Role with 5 measurable, attainable Goals to be rated by.

Your Admin will be notified once you submit your Role & Goals, then they can review it and assign the Role & Goals you created to you. Watch the video or follow the simple steps below:

Step 1

On your Hi5 Wall of Fame Dashboard, click on My Role.

Step 2

If you have a role and goals assigned to you, you'll see it here. If you'd like to submit new goals, click on the Create Role button.

Want to run a company-wide survey on employee happiness, individual performance reviews or just want to find out from your managers what they learned at the last seminar they attended? Follow the steps below to measure anything using Hi5 Pulses.

Important to note: Pulses creation & viewing are currently only available on Desktop.

Step 1: Create a new Pulse

Go to your Pulses tab under My Company. If you don't see it after toggling Pulses on in Settings, refresh the page.

Now, click on the Add Pulse button or the + button in the bottom right-hand side corner of the screen to start creating a new Pulse.

Premium Pulses

Besides creating pulses from scratch, you can use templates. At the top of your page you should see Premium Pulses - these are ready-to-use Premium Pulse templates based on verified surveys. Learn more about Premium Pulses >

Step 2: Set the deadline / Choose frequency

Give your new Pulse a name, and choose from the dropdown whether it's a Once Off or Recurring survey

⚙️ Setting up

Installing the Hi5 app on MS Teams

Step 1

Once you've logged into Microsoft Teams, add Hi5 by going to the Apps menu tab, then search and select "Hi5". Click the "Add" button when prompted.

Step 2

Now go to the "More Added Apps" tab in your menu (the three dots). Search for "Hi5" and select.

Step 3

The Hi5 tab will be added to your menu. To keep it in your menu, right-click on the tab and select 'Pin'.

If you've already signed up for a Hi5 account at app.get5.io, or someone else invited you and you've activated your account, you can click on the chat text field and expand 'What can I do?' - choose the option 'Login' and press Enter.
